Everything data: ML.NET, ElasticSearch, SQL and more!

The meetup was organized by the MSCC and PASS Mauritius. In this meetup we had hands-on workshop on ML.NET, Elastic Search and SQL Server

Everything data: ML.NET, ElasticSearch, SQL and more!

Agenda:

– ML.NET – Vidush Namah
With ML.NET, you can create custom ML models using C# or F# without having to leave the .NET ecosystem.
ML.NET lets you re-use all the knowledge, skills, code, and libraries you already have as a .NET developer so that you can easily integrate machine learning into your web, mobile, desktop, gaming, and IoT apps.
In this session, we shall have a walk-through of building, training and implementing a predictive machine learning solution from scratch using .NET.

– Elasticsearch introduced – Hansynee Thecka
Data is growing exponentially and relational databases are unable to provide us the performance that we seek in manipulating those data. We are therefore seeing a trend where the switch is being made from relational databases to NoSQL databases and Elasticsearch is one of those.
In this session we will see what is Elasticsearch, how it compares to a relational database and how and in which context it can be useful to you. .NET will be used to show the implementation of Elasticsearch, and we will use it in combination with Kibana to visualize and analyze the data extracted.

– SQL Server for Mere Mortals – Seechurn Krisna, Daby Cynthia , Singh Devendra / SD Worx
In this session, you are going to learn abInternals of SQL server and associate it with query life cycle and see how different components work together. We’ll then share our high level architecture and future plans
Following which we can have Q&A for 15 minutes.
